My dad has a farm and several goats to keep the brush down. About 9 years ago he had several that he was bottle feeding and one little runt wasn't doing well. The mommy in me kicked in and I took him home. We had to put a tube down his throat for a few weeks just to feed him and then switched him to a bottle. The little bugger had to sleep with us and my husband and I would take turns feeding our baby. I finally moved him out of our room when I caught him chewing on my hair. It was only partially his fault as my hair does sometimes look like straw.
My baby goat grew to be a huge boy with full horns. He had such a personality and would try to sneak in the house and crawl in bed with us. We would take him camping and he LOVED to travel!
People would pet him for a full 5 minutes before the realized it was a goat and not a dog.lol
He was such a member of our family!
He died last Summer and I'm still not over it. It was such a traumatic event. He walked to the back porch and fell over. My husband freaked and I swear to God he tried to give him mouth to mouth. My children were hysterical and they saw my husband cry for the first time. I cried so hard I threw up.
Spring is here and I always go to the back and look for him. It really is silly how much I miss him.
I put an ad on craigslist and I'm going to buy a goat today. I know it's not a replacement but I'm going to get one anyway.

That is a cute story... well not the ending... but I would have never guessed a goat could be a house pet. Good luck finding the new baby!

ANIMALS TOUCH OUR LIVES IN A WAY PEOPLE CAN'T. I LOVE MY SCRAPPY LIKE HE IS MY BABY. I KNOW I WILL GO CRAZY WHEN HE PASSES ON, BUT I HAVE HIM NOW TO LOVE. I THINK YOU SHOULD GET YOU ANOTHER GOAT. WE NEVER REPLACE THE OTHER ONES WE HAVE LOVED WE JUST ADD TO THE ONES WE LOVE. GOOD LUCK!!!! HOPE YOU GET ONE JUST AS SWEET AS THE FIRST!!!

I HOPE THAT YOU DO FIND A NEW GOAT,ITS FUNNY I WAS JUST TELLING MY HUSBAND THAT I WAS GONNA GET ONE TO BUDDY AROUND WITH THE DOGS..I WAS JOKEING SAYING HOW FUNNY IT WOULD BE TO HAVE HIM COMEING IN THE DOGGIE DOOR.YOU WILL HAVE TO LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU FIND ONE..WE MUST HAVE THE SAME CRAZY LOVE FOR ANIMALS..I HAVE RAISED A PET SQUIRREL AND A CANADIAN GOOSE,THEY BOTH MAKE AWESOME PETS..
