Close Multiple Myeloma
Stage: III

My Mom has multiple myeloma for 2.5 years. She was diagnosed at stage 3b. She had genetic changes at diagnosis. My Mom was 77 years old at diagnosis. We were told she has the most aggressive form of MM. She had a complete response to her treatment. My Mom is treated at University Of Michigan Cancer Center.

Treatments

Chemotherapy Working / Worked

Velcade, doxil, and dexamethsone.

Dexamethasone Working / Worked

It was used for induction chemo.

Thalidomide Working / Worked

My Mom takes Thalidomide daily for 3 weeks, then has a 7 day break.

Velcade Working / Worked

worked well

Zometa Working / Worked

worked well, but now she is getting Pamidranate(spl)
