Close Lupus
I was diagnosed with lupus in 2004 when i was 17. It was under control until now. I've been flaring up like crazy for the past 5 months, getting a new symptom every month. I started with SLE, and it has now spead into my stomach. I am also experiencing ovarian cysts every other month, but the doctor is unsure if its lupus related.
Treatments
- Methotrexate Not Working
- dont even bother...doesnt do a thing...nothing changes
- Plaquenil Working / Worked
- been on it for 4 years, doesnt do anything for me anymore
- Prednisone Too Soon to Tell
- i started it 4 days ago...my symptoms are getting worse, but i am gaining weight (which is good for me)...but the pain is worse and spreading

Treatments
- Depo-Provera Not Working
- didnt work at all...horrible birth control
- Laparoscopic Surgery Working / Worked
- had 3 so far...i had the third one 2 weeks ago and they ended up taking out my left ovary and fallopian tube
- Oral Contraceptives Working / Worked
- I'm now on loestrin. It's been working so far and I would definately recommend it.
