  I'm so sorry for your loss and know what you are going through. I know what you mean by the emptiness. It's just awful. I started a journal today here on DS which I think will help sort through my thoughts and feelings. I know Jasper is with God and he's finally free of the pain and suffering. Other than his arthritis slowing him down he acted much like a puppy until just a couple of weeks ago. The last few days of his life you could tell that he was dying. I don't have any other pets other than a goldfish and a couple of toads. I think I would like to have another dog someday when the time is right. I will post some photos and maybe some video of Jasper soon. I will pray for you and your family. Take care of yourself and allow yourself to grieve.
