I am a 60 year old woman, happily married with three grown sons and my first grandbaby. I am an artist (sculptor). I was diagnosed with Parkinson's by a neurologist on Jan. 27, 2009. I don't know how upset I should be, actually. Sculpting is my passion and the tremor is already interfering with my work.

Close Parkinson's Disease
I live in Southern California. I am 60 years old, happily married with three grown sons and my first grandchild. I worked as a respiratory therapist for 15 years, but now spend my time sculpting small realistic dolls and babies. Sculpting is my passion. I have had a tremor in my left hand for about a year. Jan. 27, 2009 a neurologist diagnosed me with PD. I don't know exactly how upset I should be. The tremor has already begun to interfere with my art work.
Treatments
- Azilect Working / Worked
- I have had a tremor in my left had for over a year. My GP thought it was essential tremor and put me on a beta blocker. I got no relief and felt that I needed to see a neurologist. On Jan. 27th, I was diagnosed with PD by a neurologist. He said he was certain about the diagnosis.
- Ibuprofen Working / Worked
- I use Ibuprophen more for back pain and it does give me relief
