Close Myelodysplasia
Diagnosed 4-17-08 after being turned away from donating blood the previous Oct. Had bone marrow biopsy. Low risk category. Numbers: WBC 4.2, RBC 2.85, Hemoglobin 10.8. Hematologist/ontologist Dr says when hemoglobin falls to 10, he will give me hormone shots. Father died of MDS at age 75.
