I live in the middle of rural Ireland with my husband and 5 pet dogs. In addition, I volunteer for my local SPCA, so I generally have 1 or 2 'foster' dogs here too.

We're both passionate about dogs, and classic Volkswagens....which is a good thing, as both addictions can take over your life a little! I should probably confess about my AC/DC addiction too....where's the support group for that one?

Close Hyperthyroidism
Been pushing for a diagnosis for many years, and finally found a saint of a doctor (after a few false starts) who didn't fob me off with depression, anxiety, diets etc. Mainly HypO symmptoms, but bloods comeback HypER everytime. Been on meds since Aug 2008, with some interesting observations
Treatments
- Carbimazole Working / Worked
- Started on 30mg/day and felt wonderful...best I've felt for years. Blood tests told a different story and it was upped to 40mg/day...with the result that I now feel horrific, worst I've been for years, but blood results are improving...where's the sense in that?
