Thank you Janey! I appreciate it a lot. Did you undergo radiation therapy? My doctor said it's more advanced than gamma knife. I forgot the exact term. I have a 2 year old son and hope to have at least one more child. Your stories inspire me.. that there's hope for us after all. They are all empowering. Thanks!

Diagnosed with acromegaly in January 2008. Tumor was removed April 3, 2008. IGF-1 and GH drastically reduced but still above targets. Post surgery MRI shows possible risidual tumor. Began Sandostatin LAR 4 months ago. First blood tests post-surgery shows IGF-1 and GH within target. Just had second blood tests and still within target...Hip Hip Hooray. Still have acro symptoms or could be octreotide side effects: fatigue, hip pain, hair loss
