Thank you for your words of encouragement. I have heard how it is so very hard to find a good endocrinologist. I am seeing a holistic doctor right now who is trying her best to get me feeling good. She is the one who sent me to the endo to rule out a disease of the adrenals. She said I most certainly do have adrenal fatigue and will keep an eye on it. At the moment we are trying to get my thyroid straightened out and may have to get me back on cortisol. She will support my decisions and always asks me my thoughts on things which is wonderful. I feel like I am in the driver's seat with her guiding me along. She encourages being in tune with your own body. Please let me know how you are doing...I find your story extremely interesting as there are many similarities to my own! Sorry it took me a bit to reply!! Hope your day is going great!!

Hi, I have a non diagnosis so to speak. I take cortef 5mg bid, florinef 1m sid. i have tried dexamethasone, it shut down my adrenals. I have been worked up for an insulinoma, am going to have another ct scan in case the first one was missed two years ago. I had a normal acth stim test. I have had high acth at times, then normal. My am cortisol is normal. My symptoms are very low blood sugars, anxiety attacks, low blood pressure, large amount of sodium loss via the urine.

      Treatments

      Cortisol Somewhat Helpful
taking the steroids to help keep blood sugar up , still have lots of episodes of low blood sugar, not really having any side effects from the cortef
      Florinef Somewhat Helpful
maybe a little better on the sodium loss, not much better
