Had a very frustrating neurologist appointment yesterday. I waited for over an hour and 1/2 to see the doctor for him only to spend 3 or 4 minutes talking to me. He only sees patients on Thursdays, so I know he was really backed up. It was just so frustrating for me though; I literally had to stop him several times as he went out the door to ask him about what I should do about my headaches and leg weakness. There were a lot of questions that I needed to ask that I wasn't able to even ask. Oh, well, I guess if I keep having the same problems, I will just call him and talk to him on the phone.
I am feeling pretty good today. I do have some muscle tightness and weakness in my legs, and some other body aches, but considering all I have done today, I am doing exceptionally well. I prepared a lot of food today to get ready for my daughter's baby shower tomorrow. I know that it is really too much for me to try to do, but I want to do as much for her as I did for her sisters. I know I only have so much energy to burn, but even if I have to crash all next week, I think it is worth it not to let her down.

That is too bad that your doc was inconsiderate like that. I have heard that if you have things you want to discuss that may take some time that you can call ahead(in this case weeks ahead) and ask them to block out some extra time just for you. Now I have never done this, but it's worth a try. The other thing I have found over the years dealing with docs is that as soon as they get in and ask how are you, you get right to the matter. I hate when docs come in and sit and read your chart. I would think that should have been done before you got there. Really. But that's another story. That's my suggestion for next time though. I hope your daughter's baby shower is great and that you will get time to catch up on your rest. :) Cheryl
