About Me
I am 37yr old, a single parent , I have CROH'NS disease IBS over the summer I got CELLUTIS MRSA.In my right arm and hand . I have a 15yr daughter Who also has CROH'NS disease. We live in a small town. an hour from Phoenix were it is allways hot. and two hours from flagstaff were they get snow.as some would say the best of both worlds.

Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
I have had crohn's for along time. In 1981 I started have lots of stomach trouble. I was 9yrs My first hospital stay was 1982. For years I was missed deictnosed . They new very little about Crohn,s From that time on I spent the better part of my youth in and out of hospitals.In 1992 I was told that I had a Sever Case of Crohn's I have had seveal surgerys. And I am unable to stay in remmison. . I now have IBS I have been on countless numbers of medicin's and have tryed many treatments.
Treatments
- Asacol Somewhat Helpful
- 32 ,pentasa 500mg daily, librax 4 day bf,food,nortripline 50mg at bt. took predison 160mg-0 once a month for over 3yrs.have not been on predison for9 months 7/7/08 it worked, I ate, stopped getting sick,had lots of energe. but I do not sleep well on them I am up for days at a time on them. Then I just crash.gained weight I really needed . down side it can really kill of your immune system. you can have a hard to come off of it
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- I was working for me.But over the summer I got MERA in my right hand and arm.and I have not been able to take it any more.The only side effects were as my mom would put it bouncing off the walls I could go days with out sleep.and I ate alot and was able to gain weight.
- Remicade Not Working
- Did not work
- Surgery Working / Worked
- I had a lot of surgerys and most worked out.I was able to still work.
Close MRSA
In may 2008 I was in the hospital for my Crohns disease .While I was there I had a small cut on my right middle finger and ended up getting Cellutis MRSA a flesh eatting disease
Treatments
- Bactroban Working / Worked
- At first I just thought my body was having a reaction to the prednison(160mg ) a day. my hand started to swell up . Then a few days after I was home my skin started to fall of my finger . The doctors thought they might have to amputate my arm.After 12 surgery's and 2 skingrafts and 2 months later they were able to save both my hand and arm I have no feeling in eather . I am right handed so that part kind of sucks .But at least I still have both.
