Raised by paternal grandparents. Father lived abt 4 miles away with Stepmother and my half-sibs. Was told my mother died in childbirth. At the age of 16 found out that not only was my mother still alive, but I had an older sister and brother. Didn't meet my mother and older half-sibs til I was 21. Grew up feeling alone, isolated, abandoned and surrounded by alcohol. Father, Grandfather, great grandfather, etc, all violent alcoholics

I was raised by paternal grandparents. He was an alcoholic and I was the reason he drank (or so I was always blamed)
Treatments
- Ativan Not Working
- took along with Sinequan for sleeping. ativan 1mg & sinequan 150 and still wide awake til 2-3 am
- BuSpar Not Working
- bad marriage at that time ('85-'90)wouldn't have mattered what I took.
- Lexapro Too Soon to Tell
- was very wired on Lexapro. Kept me awake til 3am. Not good when you don't sleep well to begin with.
- Trazodone Not Working
- I was given trazadone for sleepnessness. It has been increased to 150mg and I still wake at the sound of a pin drop.
- Valium Considering
- took back in the 70's, don't remember much about it.
- Xanax Working / Worked
Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionRaised around violent alcoholics. Always with the threats and put downs.
Treatments
- Celexa Working / Worked
- just starting...switched from Cymbalta
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- bad dreams at first. Expensive since my ins. doen't do much for this one.
- Lexapro Working / Worked
- kept me awake.
- Psychotherapy Not Working
- always felt worse than I went in.
- Trazodone Working / Worked
- am taking 150mg. Still extreme light sleeper.
Open Physical & Emotional Abuse
I have been and still am the victim of emotional and mental abuse from the day I was born being raised by neither parent, by grandparents.

Open Parents of Children with ADHD
My son was originally diagnosed with ADD at the age of 5 or 6. Everybody kept telling me it was me. They had no problem with him. Everytime I'd try to find help they would put me in counceling. Now he is a 39 yr old man still dealing with ADD. Hasn't kept a job more that 2 yrs at a time other that one that lasted 5. Hasn't been able to maintain a relationship.
