My husband abruptly left two days ago. He let me know by leaving a note taped on our door. He din't even talk to me about his feelings. Now he wants to get a sailboat and cruise everywhere. I'm at retirement age and we don't have the means to support separate lives. He thinks therapists are shams and refuses to see one. I am devastated.
Treatments

- It doesn't seem to be enough for him.

- My cats help me to have purpose and keep me calmer.

- I've picked up tidbits here and there. To someone who is resistent though, they only help me to understand where he might be coming from.

- My grown children have whole-heartedly given me support. so have friends. Nobody saw it coming either, so I don't feel like a fool as much

- I "talk" to my absent spouse by journaling and venting on paper. That helped me to get my thoughts in order for our first post-leaving meeting today
Close Infidelity
My husband recently leeft me, and returned within three days. During that time I looked through our cell phone bils and discovered he had been having an affair that began online. He says he had already decided to leave before he had sex with her, but I think the possibility and excitement of the secrecy encouraged him to do it. Then the guilt may have made him leave. Who knows?
Treatments
- Forgiveness Too Soon to Tell
- He asked for forgiveness and I gave it, but I still would like to get him to agree to do his part to make thing work out.
