I was diagnosed the 1st time with Lupus almost 3 years ago.That Dr. told me I would be lucky to live 7 to 10 years. I have three small children. I could believe what I was hearing. I ran away from that diagnosis and found I couldn't hide from it because I was just getting worse. The flares were coming closer together, more severe and lasting longer. I went back to other doctors for second third and more opinions. All the same answer with out the death sentence Thank God. Just started Plaquenil in November. I have lupus raynauds and sjogrens.:( For work I help people eliminate barriors and build wealth specializing in "Heroes" (Fire Dept, Law enforcement military, nurses, Drs.Teachers) Basically people that dedicate their lives to making other peoples lives better-easier. Love it!

Interests
I love spending time with my family, gardening, going to the gym, the beach, riding my bike, funny movies, knitting, crochet, and painting and drawing. I love water sports. Of course all of this has changed some things I haven't been able to continue doing. I am hoping someday that will change.

I hear you! I have had this disease for so many years and now i feel i am coming to the end. It is scary, I used to have flares once a month, now it is constant
