love cats, have a white cat Misty, like New Age philosophy and music, movies, books, no family where I live. I am artistic. In the past I have done weaving, making dolls, stuffed animals, puppets and paintings. Nowadays I enjoy learning the computer and making photos of Misty, my cat. (see photos below). Close Parkinson's Disease
was diagnosed with PD Oct 2008,in early stages,classic form of PD, mother also has it--she is in nursing home, she has brother in later stages of it, I have tremors, some difficulty moving, walk slow,fatigue. need to walk with cane now--balance prob. pain in hips legs feet.
Treatments
- Azilect Not Working
- did not help tremors, I wound up in the ER unconscious (bad drug reaction combined with UTI), I can't use this at all.
- Mirapex Somewhat Helpful
- it helped tremors but had nausea which never did go away--could not use it.
- Prozac Working / Worked
- The amount I was already taking was doubledhad improvement in emotional mental state. some dizziness occured at firstnow take 20 mg.a day
- Requip Not Working
- helps with tremors, enables me to do housework better. side effects--dizziness and faintness at first---can drive only in the afternoon.--a little nausea which went away. I am currently using this. Stopped this medicine June 20, 09 due to troublesome side effects---just couldn't take it any more!
- Sinemet Too Soon to Tell
- Started carbido/levo last night. Hope I can live with it.
