I am 52 yr old female, married, with 3 children and 10 grandchildren. I have DDD with 8 bulging discs, neural foraminal stenosis(severe on the left, moderate on the right) L-5-S1, scoliosis, degenerative facet joints, sciatica. Also ligament tears and dislocated kneecaps(have to wear knee braces) also ligament tears in ankles(wear braces on ankles also) severe arthritis from the lumbar spine to the ankles.And if this isn't enough, I have anxiety issues

Thank you so much for my hug last week. I know you deserve one back but flowers seem better since you are feeling awful. Actually, I should have given you a get well band aid. Well, next time then! I've been so busy and am still so busy but I just wanted you to know I really appreciated your message back re: disability. When I have time, I might apply (even though I'll get turned down because I'm still working) but I heard that they retroactive pay based on your first application. Is this true? Mehimandkids

I also have stenosis...have you found anything to help it? My dr just wants to keep sending me to PM and in the same breath won't talk to me about pain patches b.c they are not curative...I don't get it.

Close Degenerative Disc Disease
I flew off my porch 03/06, ended up with a compression fracture in the lower lumber, I already had 8 buldging discs, since the accident more problems are starting with the back, I also have spinal stenois, scatica nerve damage, and severe artritis. I am not a surgery canidate. I have to have 7 surgeries to attempt to fix the problems, I need my knees replaced, my hips and pelvis are out of alignment, and then fuse the 8 vetebrates in the spinal. Surgery can not guarentee no pain

Treatments
- Bedrest Working / Worked
- I do bedrest from time to time, when I over do things
- Chiropractic Adjustment Working / Worked
- Cause more problems, I had to have adjustments 3 times a week. When I had adjustments, and by the time I went back it would be out of alignment again. Because of all the alignments, it cause my spine to become weak and unstable. Had to stop treatment.
- Darvon Somewhat Helpful
- Did not like the sideeffect of being sick to my stomach all the time
- Epidural Injection Working / Worked
- I have had 2, the first time it took 9 attempts before they could get the needle in because of the arthritis. The second worked well. Can't have any more until I pay my portion of the doctor bill.
- Heat Working / Worked
- This is my treatment, no side effects....
- Hydrocodone Somewhat Helpful
- Did not like the conditions I felt after taking the meds. I was like .....spacey
- Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- I was having this with the chiropractor treatments, and the doctor made me stop both treatment

I have had severe anxiety disorder, Post Trauma Syndome, depression and Panic attacks(controlable)since 1999.Plus back issues

- BuSpar Not Working
- Can only take small dosages, gives me the shakes
- Lexapro Working / Worked
- cause problems
- Paxil Not Working
- tried but made me a zombie
- Valium Working / Worked
- Have this on hand, in case I need it.
- Xanax Working / Worked
- On this now, have been since 1999. I am on .25 mg and I can adjust my dose as I see fit. I can take up to 4 tablets every 6 hrs if needed.
Open Chronic Pain
Treatments
- Chiropractic Adjustment Not Working
- works for a day or so, then have to go back in 3 days, to have adjustment cause the hip and pelvic slips out of alignment and too expensive
- Heat Working / Worked
- always, since I can not take pain meds, this is my only answer

- In my medicine cabinet, causing stomach irration
- Lyrica Working / Worked
- in med cabinet, pain medicine causes problems
- Mobic Working / Worked
- in meds cabinet, all pain medicine causes issues
- Nerve Blocks Working / Worked
- This works, but they are expensive for me, Insurance only pays 50%. I can only get them when I have extra money
- Oxycodone Working / Worked
- Make me a zombie
- Physical Therapy Not Working
- Make the problems worst, except the tens unit. Insurance will not pay for it
