I have done quite a bit of geneology research. I'm not sure how much you know, so I'll just throw out a few tips. First utilize message boards on websites like ancestory.com (you have to pay for it), familysearch.com, and ellisisland.com. Also most LDS (mormon) churches have a family history center. They are very nice and helpful and have alot of books, and you can ususally get on Ancestry.com for free there. You don't have to be a member of their church to go there and they don't try to get you to join or anything like that. If you have any questions feel free to messagge me. I have met several cousins that I never knew existed. It's alot of fun. Good luck.
