I am a 38 yr old women with a partner and 12 yr old daughter Lauren. I am a trained nurse and psychotherapist. I work 4 days a week. I was diagnosed with Lupus and Fibro about 2 years ago. I love the outdooors, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , tramping being by the sea.....kayaking. I also lov painting and being creative. I work as a drug and alcohol counsellor/psycotherapist 4 days a week.

Interests
Art, gardening hiking kayaking reading the great outdoors. I am also interested in buddhism as it teaches me concepts that help me deal with my lupus.meditation and acceptance as well as being in the present. I love kids and spending time with my family.

Hi! It was so nice to hear from you! Just last night I was on here and thinking of you! That's funny that here you are today in my hug box! Let me know how you're doing sometime. I have had some bad pain days lately. The weather is cold and damp and I am adjusting to it slowly. It's nothing I can't handle though. lol Us Lupies are a tough bunch. No he hasn't left yet should be leaving in a few weeks he has to get cleared through the union out there. I really don't want him to go but we are going on week 9 with no work and there are no jobs out her at least not til next june. How have you been feeling? I have been doing good i swear sometimes i think i will never get off the steroids hopefully at my next appt he will let me start to taper off.-

I loved all your photos! I was on vacation from the 14th till the 19th so I am just getting to them. It looks like a peaceful holiday for you! I hope you are doing well. I held up well driving 877 miles. It was when I got home that things got crazy! (See my journal). I spent all day in and rested today though. :) Cheryl

Things are great over here...the weather has been up and down but i like it as long as it doesn't rain. the house we bought in jan is almost done maybe another month well thats if my bf doesn' move out west for work as he has been laid of for the last 7 weeks :( Great for the new house bad for our bank acct LOL how are things with you...are u enjoying your summer? Hello Lee, yes, I've been occupied elsewhere too....we are having a lot of stormy, wet weather. Good for the dams, but not so good for the old lupus joints....trying to garden in the fine patches and quilt when it's too wet. Kid driving me nuts, but on the whole I'm ok....hope all is good in your world. love, light and peace

Hi my name is Lee, and I am a 38 yr old female in a de facto relationship with one child called Lauren aged 13. I was diagnosed with Lupus and fibro approx 3years. I work 4 days a week which is very hard at times. I struggle hugely at times and feel isolated and alone. I don't look sick so people arent very understanding. I am a psychotherapist and registered nurse and work with people with drug and or alcohol addictions. I enjoy the great outdoors!! I look 4wd to being part of the group

- Useful for pain relief only if not severe.
- Methotrexate Working / Worked
- Helps manage skin symptoms and manage flares.
- Plaquenil Working / Worked
- Has helped heaps to improve my quality of life!
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- Fat....bloated and hungry all the time!!! Sometimes gives me energy but appearance wise not great!
