Yes this is going to be a rant so if you don't like anger don't read. It pours and lightning every day now all day all night. Now rain and storms are natural but NOT this much. It has never been this bad. My daughter and Karol say it is from global warming. See? See how we have fucked up Mother Earth. It pisses me off. I wonder will something evolve to take our place when we are gone and will it be responsible because mankind definately is NOT! We destroy everything we touch eventually and it really tears out my soul. If you are over 18 you remember when there were natural spaces. if you are not you probably don't. THAT SUCKS!!!! What will I do when the city is finished ripping up the trees? My soul will die! I am not playing the only thing more godly then a tree is a child.
AND have you heard about this? With a souped up mRI they can now read minds... down to a word. Anyone ever heard of civil liberties? They used to matter. The only possible use for this knowlege is to find out with children too young to talk where it hurts. AND they are getting close to unraveling time travel. Why do we require this? Anyone ever heard of a paradox. Science has even proved I saw on a documentary that there are astral planes and other dimensions and there is a team of scientists getting close to unlocking those realms. WHY? Has anyone ever heard the word DANGER? Why are we not using science to cure disease and end famine and restore the earth? Wasn't that the whole damn point? All anybody seems to care about is how to build a bigger better gun. That is bullshit to me!!!! We are like curious children with dangerous toys. We can't leave well enough alone and some day it will end us... and that badly. This is the way the world ends... not with a bang but a whimper! Rant over... love you guys... Angel

Another perspective. Have you considered that mankind is not the top of the food chain, that we are just a part of the process of evolution, and that human science is not all it makes out to be. All through human history people have been screaming scary things about the future. But go out into space and look back at the earth and mankind, and life here, and it is nothing. Literally just a spec. This planet can disappear and not make a tiny dint in reality. This planet is an atom, in a cell, in something much greater. So, why worry, why panic. Just live the few lousy years we get as best as possible and accept what we really are. That is my view today of life on planet earth.

Jim, that's kind of a cop-out dontcha think? Just because we are not omnipotent does not mean we should not take care of our planet and each other.

I agree with you Bear......I so hate to see so much destroyed . In my short life time it seems so much has dissappeared in our lands. I am one for trees and the beauty of nature and it is just gone here. Concrete city. It is ashame. I go home and visit in the country and even there is being taken over.The land is sparse.
And yes what happened to freakin science and helping the people. I could go on bout that forever.
