      I am 54 years ago and I was diagnosed with Stage 2B Grade 1 Uterine Cancer in June 2007. Treatment...hysterectomy in July 2007 followed by 25 Radiation treatments which ended December 2007. My last appointmemnt with the Oncologist was Sept 1st 2009. I no longer need to have checkups at the Cancer clinic! The Oncologist told me that there is little chance of recurrance since I have been cancer free for over 2 years now! So I will just continue regular exams with my gynecologist once a year. I am so thankful.

      Hi Jackie! Thanks for checking in . . . I'm doing great. All through with treatments and just enjoying life. I have my next Dr's appt just before Christmas. CT scan in March.

      I am just trying to decide if I should retire . . . luckily, my work has been paying my full salary for the last 6 months. I am not sure if I am up to going back full time, but we could sure use the money . . .

      Hi. Well all my prayers from all of you have been truly answered., Finally got my 1st checkup pap results and it came back clean. So I go back in 6 months. I did ask Doc what IF something had shown up and he said he would have done a "little spot radation". Whew!!! I am one of the lucky ones. This entire experience has brought me new friends like YOU Jackie and others that drop a line now and then, but most of all it put me in touch with Jesus and the Holy Spirit in ways I have never known before. I no longer fear, I no longer feel alone in this world. And I am forever grateful to you and everyone that helped me open my heart and love those I may not even know or ever meet, but know that they are a friend and I am so glad you are one of them. How are you doing? I bet you feel good that you are doing good too. I pray for everyone to keep on keeping on and together we can beat this nasty C beast! Take care -- Jo

      my doctor appt is on 9/22/09 i will get the result then i got cancer 7/2006 my treatment was platinol,adriamycin, taxol. i did it every 21 days 7 treatment im worried that it will come back i was not supposed to have this kind of cancer at my i was only 38 will let you know the test result how are you doing and what treatment did you do. take care it good to have someone to talk to about cancer with thank you very much

      Treatments

      Radiotherapy Working / Worked
      Radiation treatment affected my bowels mainly. I had to change my diet and eat less fibre. Didnt have any skin problems. Other than some nausea following the last treatment brachytherapy I believe it was called...it wasnt as bad an experience as I thought!

      I had a radical hysterectomy just over a year ago. I have 20 of the symptoms on the list!!
