Been letter writing like crazy again.  What I have done is type out the letter in a word document to check spelling and grammer. I don't want to appear uneducated.  I write a letter from deep within explaining my feelings, make it personable.  Let the reader know who you are and the passion you have for what you are doing.  I want them to feel like-- this person needs help or has a valid issue here.  They get lots of letters I am sure and I want mine to stand out. I want them to want to read mine.  Then I copy and paste and email like crazy. I also make lots of copies and send them snail mail. 20 stamps $8.80, I cut out the carry out coffee and buy stamps.  Write an eye catching letter almost in a third party kinda way that they can inject themselves into and how they would feel if faced with the difficulties we face.  I write about the love and the bond I share with my boys, and how the bio's have never bonded and how it would devastate the boys if we couldn't stay together.  i am very passionate about this cause because kids should NEVER EVER FEEL UNWANTED. These are my kids, NOT BORN OF BODY BUT INTO MY HEART and I want them to be happy, healthly and mentally adjusted even if they had a questionable start.

Once I got a letter back from my house rep and he went on about his appreciation for my letter but that my cause was not an issue he had on his agenda, he had other topics that were his passion.  I did not let it go I wrote him back and told him I could apprecaition his topics and his issues but to put himself into our shoes and tell his kids to bad I don't have time to stand up for you, you are not a priority, and if he could genuinely look into his child face and say he did not have time for them right now then I would try to understand his values as my representative.  I got another letter telling me he would like to meet with me at a further date and discuss this issue further. Yada, Yada and so far no more contact but I have kept all my return letters, because even if I never change one thing the boys will have absolute prove I TRIED.   I still snail mail my rep ever letter I write and pray when I send them that one of them will reach the right person at the right time.
