    • Close Narcolepsy

      I was diagnosed with narcolepsy in 2003. Then in 2005 I switched neurologists and found that I had lots of brain lesions. Two years of testing and no diagnosis except narcolepsy.

      Treatments

      Adderall Working / Worked
      I can only tolerate 20 mg/day. More than that and I am almost certain to have a migraine. Side effects are that it makes me compulsive about getting things done and interferes with my sleep. Ulcers
      Provigil Working / Worked
      Raised my blood pressure dangerously high. This was the first drug the doctor tried because it was "least likely" to interfere with my blood pressure.
      Ritalin Working / Worked
      Total stress and personality change. I could not take this.
      Xyrem Working / Worked
      Has been recommended, but I am leary of it as I seem to get the bad side effects of so many drugs.
