Another one of my big problems is sleep deprevation.  A year and a half ago I took a sleep test and found the root of my problem.  Although I always knew I had restless leg syndrome I had no idea it affected me through the whole night.  Thus, I was never able to go into a deep sleep long enough to have that needed rest.  Well, since then I've had to go up and up and up on my meds to maintain that sleep pattern. Now the side effects are so bad that as soon as it enters into my system I throw everything up, including the rest of the cocktail of drugs I have to take.

So, the RLS med. is now out the window.  I take tranxene which used to help me fall to sleep but it has stopped working now.  It's been a few days since I last slept even for a couple of hours at a time.  Today is the first day it's really taken a toll on me.  I can't sleep in this morning because I have to take my husband to get an epidural put in his back. 

It's really frustrating.  Up until a year and a half ago I never knew what it was like to have the regular sleep that everyone else has taken advantage of.  Even as a child I didn't know that it wasn't normal to wake up constantly through the night.  Now that I had a taste of the wonderful energy that you get after a refreshing night's sleep, It's even harder to except that I don't have it now.

I hopeful that on Friday when I see my psych. he'll know of a magic pill with no god-aweful side effects.  Of course, I'm not holding my breath.
