I've had HS for 20+ years, suffering until FINALLY diagnosed! w/ HS & Crohns. Worked to find compassionate, educated doc. Sent to "teaching pain center" where HS pain & immobility was taken SERIOUSLY and MANAGED w/ ALKALIZING DIET, supplements & PAIN Management. Now, 11 years later, I still have stage 3 HS & crohns, but I LIVE FREE from "HS medical experiments" -- graphs, antibiotics, steroids, lancing-- been there, done that: . I live joyfully, because I MANAGE HS -- not try to "fix" it.
Treatments
- Massage Working / Worked
- To keep our lymph systems and surrounding tissue healthy! Also, beneficial to feel "touch-able" -- especially near and around the areas of our wounds. Loving, healing touch -- replacing body shame.
- Pilates Working / Worked
- STAGE 3 HS for the past 11 years and I'm suggesting Pilates? YES! First, make sure your pain management is good. Pilates is designed to stretch, strengthen, & sculpt (for men & women) without CAUSING PAIN, based on the idea that pain=damage.Pilates builds, not destroys. For us, moving legs & arms can be impossible -- but stretching can feel so good, so depending on mobility (mine changes: sometimes I still need a wheelchair ) one can enjoy gentle pilates. The pilates machine from QVC rocks!
