Hi and welcome to our support group! It's good to have you here, and good to know that we're not alone in dealing with this. This is a really good site and I hope you find it helpful as well. Feel free to send me a note sometime if you want to talk more!

Close Bedwetting
I have always wet at night. Sometimes it's every night, other times I can go dry for two weeks. I've never told anyone except my close family and doctors (who just tell me I will grow out of it - but I'm already 19!). Generally I don't let it bother me but every now and then I feel depressed about it, and worry about dating (I never have - and bedwetting probably has a lot to do with it).
Treatments
- Desmopressin Working / Worked
- I've only ever taken this once for a holiday - it seemed to work, but then I rarely wet whilst away anyway (maybe I sleep less deeply). I also worried that it might not work because I don't think it's 100% effective, and didn't like that you can't drink anything over the night etc (not that I usually do.. but just in case I did wake up really thirsty).
- Diapers Somewhat Helpful
- It is definitely better than waking up in a wet bed, but is sometimes awkward when staying away from home etc (especially when sharing a room) and is slightly demoralising if you think about it too much. They obviously also cost money.. but then I don't mind paying a little to wake up in a dry bed.
