I too am trying to eat healthier now. I started this last year when my mouth was at its worse. I was told I had oral herpes, which I didn't but was still put on meds. I was told I had oral staph infection inside my mouth which I could of died from because the 1st doctor didn't catch it at first. I was told I had an allergic reaction to healthy supplements I was taking to make me healthier which made my mouth situation worse. I been through so much last year. I had an mri of the brain and thank God that was normal, had numerous blood tests done which pretty much came back normal. All doctors are pointing to is only TMJ, but can't find anybody with the same symptoms as me which is depressing. I love my pizza on the weekends and ice cream and sad to say refuse to give those up. But I am trying to eat better and healthier. I don't have the will power to stick to a liquid or soft food diet but I also do not eat anything hard or crunchy. It doesn't really matter for me as anything will sometimes aggravate the TMJ-kinda like damn if you do and damn if you don't. I do have acid reflux so eating healthier has helped that out a lot. I don't smoke or drink so I know that helps out too. One thing that helps me smile is that my youngest son will watch M*A*S*H every night with me and we laugh together. I have a very supportive hubby and sons. We all are trying to eat better and exercise more. I got back on my treadmill last year too. I had always been on the thin side when I was younger but ever since my hysterectomy at the age of 39, I am 44 now I have put on only a few pounds(about 5). I want to get off those few pounds because I am not use to having them on me. Luckily I am 5'7" so the height helps out. I think it is state of mind too. I just wish my mouth would be normal once again. Keep up the good work on eating healthier if you find anything that would work for TMJ let me know.
