Thanks for the B'day note I do appreciate it greatly. Hang in there!

You are so right about these parties being sooo stressful, we have made this the last one. He is getting older now and doesn't need these extragavant parties anymore. The stresss is killing me and like you said it is my brthday as well which no one will know and he will not care. Last night we bought him a nice bike for his b'day and he said is that all I am getting? greedy little punk! lol! AGAIN THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS AND i SEE WHY YOU STOPPED THE PARTIES.

Thank you for yur response to my journal. My son has now lost his mathbook and can't do any work. He also was late to science and it was reported as an absence because he was buying a comic book at the book fair aahhhh...... I hate middle school!

My son goes back to school tomorrow after his 2 days suspension.. how much do you think he learned? I'd say 0. I've never understood suspensions anyway.. what kid wouldn't WANT to be out of school on a suspension! ;-)

Yes, it does help to know that others can relate, I would lose my mind without these groups - I used to feel so alone before the internet ;) I really hope that your child has a better teacher this year, worst case, ask for a meeting with the teacher and principal, that will usually get things back on track..lol Have a great day and take care :) Jenn

Hey SpiderMom - Thanks for your reply on my post. I wish you the best with school starting. I know that some teachers are willing to work with parents of children with ADHD and perhaps even reduce homework. Maybe a chat with the teacher could help keep some of the stress out of homework. Good luck :) JEnnifer

Thanks for your reply in ADHD on explaining it to them. Thanks for giving me hope that the meds, etc.,. will help with some other things as well, I just feel so bad for him that he is so angry and frustrated all the time! I ordered Corey Stories and will have to check out the dog book - didn't know about that one!

Really liked your example about the meds and wearing glasses! It makes me feel more and more confident!

Good luck with which ever way you go on the medication route.
