Close Polymyositis & Dermatomyositis
I was diagnosed with Polymyositis a year ago. This past year has been a real struggle emotionally and physically. I am doing much better, but still have lung involvement. There are still some days that are difficult to do anything physical but I usually push through. I am anxious to be off of prednisone because of the weight gain, but this has been a slow process.
Close Lupus
Diagnosed in Feb, 2008 with polymyositis, which is similar to lupus. Pulmonologist stills thinks its lupus. Rheumy says no to lupus.
Treatments
- Azathioprine Working / Worked
- Working okay, hair loss, nausea
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- weight gain
