Treatments
- Advair Working / Worked
- I currently use this and it seems to reduce my need for the albuterol.
- Albuterol Working / Worked
- During some months of the year I go through spells where I need my inhaler every few hours. I feel like I'm breathing through a straw. My nose does not always feel plugged up but I can't breathe well. Albuterol usually works for a few hours. There was one night where it did not and I had to get a breathing treatment at the ER.
- Flovent Working / Worked
- I used to use this several years ago. I can't remember if it helped much.
- Immunotherapy Working / Worked
- I'm currently receiving allergy shots. This has elliminated some of the side effects of a full blown cold/sinus infection. (stuffy nose, headache, achy feeling, etc). Now it just feels like I'm breathing through a straw when I get infections.
- Serevent Working / Worked
- I used this several years ago. I can't remember if it helped much.
- Singulair Working / Worked
- I used this a year ago for a couple of months, but I stopped because my arms were felling tingly at night.
Close Pregnancy
I have a great husband and a wonderful son. I'm looking forward to more kids.
Open Parenting Toddlers (1-3)
I have a toddler! He is 21 months in Jan 09. I love being a mom, though staying home took time to get used to. I had gone from interning all day to staying home all day when I finished and was pregnant. I also had not developed a social network amongst moms and had just moved to my home less than a year before. I now enjoy being a mom and doing activities with my son. I can't wait to have more kids.
Treatments
- Education (School) Working / Worked
- Mom's Day Out and home child care for a couple of hours. He learned to observe other children and interact with them.
- Positive Reinforcement Working / Worked
- It works. I also use time out when necessary, but positive reinforcement helps to keep them encouraged.
