As time has gone by since the loss of my daughter Katie on December 13,2008. Just one day before her brother's 3rd birthday. And just 1 week before her very first christmas. It will be 1 year that Katie has been gone from us. The days are not getting any better. When the 1 year date comes all I can think about is my Katie more and more. They say that the #13 is a bad # and now I know why. I hate that # so much. I will never fully understand why Katie was taken from us on that horrible decmeber nite. SIDS is what took my little angle from our family. We were such a happy family. We are getting a little better, but not fully.We just moved in a new house and its like a fresh new start. But something is missing, its our Katie. She should be here with us in our new home!. But she will never get to be. My husband doesnt understand why I wont get rid of Katies belongs. For I cant or wont. Its like getting rid of her memories like her feeling of being her, her scent on her clothes,blankets. Just everything ablut her I miss so very much.I would give anything in this work to have her back in my arms once again. How do I go n wothout her. Expecially on December 13th. I will alway always love and miss my sweet baby girl Katie LeeAnn Shoaf. Love,your mommy xoxoxo!!
