About Me
So I'm 19 and I have severe plaque psoriasis that covers about 85%-90% of my body. It's one thing to have red patches all over your body but it's a whole nother thing when your skin gets really dry and chapped and it hurts to move. My picture doesn't look like i have it and thats because when it has flared up really bad i don't allow pictures to be taken of me, and this pitcure was also taken about 4 years ago. I do look basicly the same but just with skin problem that i didn't have when the pitcure was taken.

Hey sweetie. Do you have arthritis as well? I'm a week into the humira and it has already helped my arthritis. Not too much for my Psoriasis though. The doctor said I wouldn't see any improvement for at least 2 weeks and possibly as much as 3 months. So I'm being patient. I've had no bad side effects though. What medicine are you currently taking? Hang in there love!!!

Affected Areas: Psoriasis of the SkinI'm 19 and have severe plaque psoriasis that covers about 85%-90% of my body. My skin gets really tight, dry and chapped and it hurts to even walk. I put my medicine on and that only lasts about 30 minutes before i start itching badly but about 4 hours before my skin actually starts to hurt from being so dry. I'm tired of it and even the "best" treatments the doctors say they have for me don't work.
Treatments
- Betamethasone (Topical) Working / Worked
- It worked pretty well for the 2 weeks i was on it but the doctors wont give it to me anymore
- Coal Tar Somewhat Helpful
- I use it every couple of days. I've used it on and off over the past couple of years, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't
- Dermarest Somewhat Helpful
- I've used it on and off over the past year or so, sometime sit works sometimes it doesn't
- Enbrel Not Working
- a lot of people said it works really well, the only way it helped me was it kept it from getting worse but it was already bad
- Phototherapy Somewhat Helpful
- it helps but it doesn't clear up with just light treatments
- Taclonex Not Working
- Tazorac Not Working
- Triamcinolone Topical Somewhat Helpful
- helps with dryness and my skin does improve somewhat, but doesn't clear it up verry well
- Humira Considering
