I don't have celiac disease- I have crohn's disease... so I don't have a choice about when it comes back... but thanks for trying to offer advice/support

Thanks for your thoughts and and conscern regardiong my journal entry- I do have CD- I had major surgery in Dec. (my disease was in my ileum and a small bit of the colon that attached there)- the most recent surgery was to repair a fissure. I was afraid that the fissure occured secondary to a recurance of the cd- it actually was secondary to horrible diarhea which was occuring because they had to take my ileocal valve in the first surgery- bile was entering my colon and irritating the crap out of it (literally)- between the surgical repair, and a medication to help with the bile- life is good... I know at some point this disease will become active again- and beleive me, when it does I'll insist on the right tests... I suffered for over 20 years before I could get any one to listen to me- had they diagnosed me sooner, the first surgery might not have had to happen....

Thank you so much for your words of wisdom and support!! Hugs, Gina

Support Groups
Close Autism / Autism Spectrum
son with aspergers - biomedical testing - hair analysis for heavy metals, blood testing for digestive allergies (IgG antibodies), stool analyzed for yeast, gut bacteria, etc., blood analyzed for deficiencies we found out at age 12, had already learned a lot of coping mechanisms
Treatments
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- gfcfpf diet, cleaned up bad gut bacteria and yeast, put on DHA for building brain cells, magnesium to help go to sleep at night and help with bowels, on B complex, probiotics, D3, and whole food supplements (instead of multi) after all of the above, visual spatial deficit was ruled out and most of sensory integration deficit thinking is much clearer went from homeschooling to difficult private school with ease
- Vision Therapy Working / Worked
Close Asperger Syndrome
My 14 yo son has AS, dx at 12, homeschooled until 12. Homeschooling was our "therapy", since we didn't "know." The only treatments we have used are biomedical, and all have worked.
