I live in Auckland, New Zealand. I was diagnosed with Graves Disease in January 2009. I had Radioiodine treatment on 14 May 09 and waiting for an end to this disease!!!!

Close Hyperthyroidism
I was diagnosed with an overactive thyroid and was given 2.5 mgs carbimazole a day for a year then stopped taking it in 2007 as levels etc normal. I have just recently been ( on 9/1/2009)rediagnosed after a 5 day stay in hospital with pneumonia and now back taking Carbimazole - 10mgs.

- Carbimazole Too Soon to Tell
- I have used this drug previously in a low dose and it worked - however has come back. Now on 10mgs a day

I was diagnosed with Graves disease in Jan 2009 and then offered RAI wich I had in May 2009. I have started going hypo and started taking Thyroxine meds 3 weeks ago. Although I feel much better than i did when I was hyper I have been feeling unwell the last few days with meds
