Hi Susan, I hope your doing well and having a great week so far. It's getting cold and rainy here, but we still have been able to play outside for about a hour a day. That helps keep us from feeling to cramped up inside. I hope you have a great week.

Good Luck
Lindaheff (11/11/09)
Dear Susan
I`m sending lots of good luck for Mimi`s upcoming doctor`s appt. I had chemo on Monday and experienced my usual sleep deprivation. However, I finally crashed last PM and feel like a different person :) My daughter goes to her OB/GYN on 12/15 for her 2nd sonogram, hopefully everything will be okay and we`ll be thrilled to receive your book. Unfortunately our family remains very cautious about pregnancies... Please send Mimi my best.
Lots of love, as always,
xxLinda -
Get Well Soon!
Lindaheff (11/08/09)
Dear Susan
I`m sorry to hear that you`ve been ill and contagious, so I`m sending some cyber chicken soup to strengthen you...
I can`t imagine why a high dose of chemo would cause Mimi`s ankles to swell, but am happy to hear that she`ll be able to get her chemo at your brothers`. My numbers continue to hover at 20(they were only at 18 for 2 months) which they consider stable since 3/09. Tomorrow I go to MSKCC for chemo but never look forward to the early AM bustrip in the DARK. I`m still a bit superstitious about your sending the book, because she hasn`t been able to get a flu shot or H1N1 shot, as of yet. I`ll keep you posted. Lots of love for you, Mimi and the rest of the family!

Thank you so much for thinking of me. The job is going just okay. I don't know if you live in an area that has deregulation, where you can choose your own power company, but it makes it very competitive. In order to keep people from switching they make them sign a contract to get a lower rate. That is what it is all about for people, is the rate. We are lower than some, higher than others. They are more concerned about the rate than the invirement. Most of the people that I have signed up so far are new people that are just moving into their own apartments or homes. But it is okay for now, till something better comes along. Thanks again. Love and hugs, Anita.

I too believe that love is the greatist healer. So insightful of your mother's onocologist to tell her that. I know your love and your families love will see your mother through! -Julie

Hi Susan, Thank you for your support and encouragement! I have chemo 3 this Friday; it's the third of six that they have planned. The last one is 12/4/09 so that has me feeling pretty good by Christmas (I hope). I am still teaching but I have what we call an "instructional team." Other people are coming in and facilitating the classes during the weeks after I have chemo. So it is working out. My chemo extends for the entire semester. Not the best situation but it's okay.
I'm happy that things are moving along well for your mother. Tell her that she is quite a trooper! I hope you are able to relax a little. I'm sure it's been very hectic being away from home for so long. Many hugs, Janet -

Dear Susan
I`m so thrilled to hear that Mimi is beginning to take back her independence, hopefully your brother won`t take advantage and realize that she is still fragile...My chemo and daughter`s birthday are both tomorrow, but I did get to see her for a short time yesterday before leaving for a wedding. The wedding was exhausting and waking to this morning`s rain caused us to cancel our crew for today`s races. Oh well, that gives us 2 drops that effect our overall standings so I doubt we`ll continue the rest of the race schedule. I`m sending lots of love for you and your family.

Thank you, Susan! I am doing wonderfully! However, many of my friends with ovca are relapsing. Two are very, very sick and may have to consider hospice. It breaks my heart. Seems this cancer returns whenever it wants to. As for now I feel healthy. I wish your mother didn't have these extra rounds of chemo to go through. I am so glad she loves the chemo angels! I plan on becoming one myself as soon as they will have me (they won't let survivors in as angels until time has elapsed in remission). Lots of hugs and love to your mother, too.
