Thank you so much for thinking of me. The job is going just okay. I don't know if you live in an area that has deregulation, where you can choose your own power company, but it makes it very competitive. In order to keep people from switching they make them sign a contract to get a lower rate. That is what it is all about for people, is the rate. We are lower than some, higher than others. They are more concerned about the rate than the invirement. Most of the people that I have signed up so far are new people that are just moving into their own apartments or homes. But it is okay for now, till something better comes along. Thanks again. Love and hugs, Anita.

I too believe that love is the greatist healer. So insightful of your mother's onocologist to tell her that. I know your love and your families love will see your mother through! -Julie

Hi Susan, Thank you for your support and encouragement! I have chemo 3 this Friday; it's the third of six that they have planned. The last one is 12/4/09 so that has me feeling pretty good by Christmas (I hope). I am still teaching but I have what we call an "instructional team." Other people are coming in and facilitating the classes during the weeks after I have chemo. So it is working out. My chemo extends for the entire semester. Not the best situation but it's okay.

I'm happy that things are moving along well for your mother. Tell her that she is quite a trooper! I hope you are able to relax a little. I'm sure it's been very hectic being away from home for so long. Many hugs, Janet

    • Close Ovarian Cancer

This has been the most difficult time of my life. My father died in October. He and my mother had been married 63 years. My mother was so devastated that I stayed with her one month. Two weeks ago fluid accumulated in her abdomen and legs, and she was diagnosed with a grapefruit sized tumor on her ovary. The doctor is 90% sure it's cancer, but the test won't come back until tomorrow. I'm so sad for her, and I live on the West Coast. I'm preparing to go immediately. I'm hurting for her so much.
