About Me
I am a Christian. I called GA 800 # the other day for the first time. I talked to a few people who gave me numbers of chapters near me to call but I needed someone to talk to me. I called back again and got "Dan" on the phone. He doesn't realize it but he probably saved my life that night. I NEEDED to know that it WILL get better. I NEEDED to know that someone cared and I NEEDED a lifeline which Dan supplied. I know I'm not alone and will attend my first GA meeting tomorrow, 1/8/09

Close Gambling Addiction & Recovery
I am 47 years old and a compulsive gambler. I have known that I NEED help for many years but it wasn't until last week that I actually stated that i WANT help. Reading some of these stories is really helping me.
Treatments
- Gamblers Anonymous Too Soon to Tell
- Went last Thursday to first meeting. It was very small (only 3 other people). I will continue to go.
