Ok so I went and got my killed vaccine of H1N1 yesterday. It was kind of a let down. I'm not sure what I was expecting, maybe my arm falling off or something but I survived it just fine. It didn't even hurt. I feel fine today too. All the Hype has me waiting for the other shoe to drop. Crazy Huh? Oh well now I'm almost fully vaccinated against the bugs threatening me. I have my second shot in a series of 3 for my Hepatitis B. After this one then I get 1 more in 6 months and i should be protected against that bug too. We have been getting lots of cases of the H1N1 in our ICU unit and it worries me when I think of my Grandchildren and my children. They are in that age range that are the most vurlnable plus my Daughter, Son in law and both Grandsons are prone to asthma so makes them at twice the risk. They are just waiting for the H1N1 shots to become available to them. They can't take the inhaled vaccine because of the asthma problems. I got my H1N1 shot because I work in a hospital and come in contact with many people who have or are carrying the H1N1 and regular flu, so our hospital provides us with the vaccine.
Hope you all stay well and stay safe.
its OK to get the shots by the way cause your arm doesn't fall off.
Hugs Ferr

Oh well that's good to know! I had the regular flu shot recently and though my arm didn't fall off it felt as if I'd been playing wii tennis all through the night.
