Hi Friends Mood
Thursday, September 24, 2009 | A General Update story

Hi my dear friends, I just wanted to stop in and say hello, and I am so sorry I haven't had a lot of time to get on the computer and visit with all of you. Since I last posted, I have taken quite a wonderful nose dive at work with a perfect 3 point landing (Bruises from head to toe) LOL it looked as if I was in a bar fight and came out the looser. However I am fine. I did go to the ER and get checked out and the Doc called me a clutz. In all reality I tripped over a bed  alarm at work and , yea you know the rest of the story. My INR has still been playing the roller coaster thing with me. One week its in therapeutic range the next its way over. Yes I am still working on straightening that out. I have also moved to a new job. Very excited about this. I went from TCU (Transitional care unit) to ICU/PCU (Intensive care/progressive care units. I LOVE MY NEW JOB!!!! Of course I am the ultimate adrenaline junkie and thats the perfect place for me. I have a little more time now to train my dog which is wonderful as I was not getting any training in and it was really getting me down. I will also have a little more time to do other things I love like going hunting and such. My new hours will be 3 - 10 hour days a week for a total of 60 hours in a 2 week pay period which is exactly what I was working towards. However that also puts me clocking in at work at 6 AM, and me leaving the house at 4:30 AM to get to work 1/2 hour early. I didn't know my clock had a 4:30 AM. LOL that gives me 4 days off a week though. How cool is that? Plus my pay almost doubled! Things are so looking up.

I also went to the ortho doctor a couple of weeks ago and he had to drain some fluid off my knee that was replaced last year. It feels so much better. He also ordered a bone scan of my back because I have been complaining of lower back pain. Seems I have stenosis in my lower back L4-L5 and L5-T12 eventually it will need to be operated on. I think I'll wait on that surgery for a bit, In the meantime I am scheduled for some steroid shots in my lower back to see if that helps. I will keep you all posted.

Until we talk again, you all take care and remember I am thinking of you.

HUGS

Ferr

You need to take care of your back...well, everything else too apparently.

Good to see you back, don't stay a stranger. Kudo's on the new job...ICU is a neat environment.

I can't wait until I work Acute Psychiatric ER one day.
