Thanks! I needed to hear that. Sometimes you need to be reminded of what's important. All too often I got caught up in what NEEDS to get done, and it leaves very little time to "enjoy the moments". I think that's what I get sick of the most. I love my boys sooo much! I appreciate the hug ;)

Thanks for your comments. I believe that our children need a deep understanding that they are loved and accepted as "who they are". We realize that some things are because he has a "brain wiring" that is not connected (don't know how else to put it), and lots and lots of patience are required. My husband says that he believes God wouldn't have given us a child with this problem unless He knew we could handle it and help our son. I hope that you can be encouraged by our success with our son. He is not violent like before and he knows that he can come to us with any problem and we will help him. He is very bright and I believe that he will overcome this disability by succeeding "through" his difficulties. He tells us that he understands others who are ostracized because of how he has been treated. Just remember to love unconditionally. Be firm and don't ever give up. At 11, your child is still very young. The school should provide some form of counseling in which your son can feel comfortable and safe to talk out his feelings without criticism. I will be praying for your family and hope you will ours as well. God bless you.
