THE FALL IN THE MIDDLE OF THENIGHT
As I scurried through the house
In the night quite as a mouse
All the sudden I went boom
Crashing to the floor of the living room
One leg that way one leg this
An elbow crunching and the twist of my wrist
Right knee bruised and now in pain
My left ankle now has a sprain
My back is hurting and bladder is squirting
I was sprawled there out on the floor
Getting up was going to be such a chore
Can I walk? I do not know
If I can it will be slow
Ouch this hurts I need a pill for pain
I hope I never do this again
Serves me right I should have stayed in bed
Searching for a snack in the night can bring one dread.
Why couldn't I have waited for morning to come?
The Olympic gold for gymnastics I have not won
I am an old lady not agile as one can see
Olympic floor exercise it not for me.
The only thing I can do real well is the split
And to tell the truth it hurt like sh---t
Where is the Advil, Where is the Alive
Maybe some ice packs is what I really need
Where is that ace bandage where is the sling
I need some plaster and tape and a service bell to ring
I need the back brace but it is way over there
To heck with it, I’ll use this dang wheel chair
Don’t send a get well card or a get well call
My mail box is way out by the street
And the phone is clear over there on the dang wall
I’ll be ok in just 100 days
But by then I’ll be thin or completely wasted away.
If you don’t hear from me for a week or more
You can just figure I can’t get up cause I’m still sprawled out on the dang floor

hope you`re ok. now, HAHAHAHAHA, that was great.
