About Me
I almost lost my life, and the one who vowed to stay by my side through thick and thin abandoned me. I left the place I call home to replant myself on the other side of the country. My heart was opened, and I discovered that I can and want to feel again. The past few years of my life has been eventful, and 2008 was no exception to the rule. However, in spite of all that has happened, I have no regrets. I have faith, hope, love, and the greatest of these is love because love never fails...

I had to swing by and say hey where are you girlfriend? I hope you're feeling okay and busy having fun...one can hope, lol. Separated 4/05; Divorce filed 6/06; Divorce finalized 9/08
Close Lupus
Diagnosed 1990; Affected CNS 2004 and still suffering residual neurological effects.
Treatments
- Cellcept Working / Worked
- Used for follow-up treatment when Cytoxan treatments were completed. Currently in use now.
- Cyclophosphamide Working / Worked
- Brought in for treatment when lupus affected CNS.
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- For vasculitis in hands and fingers.
- Plaquenil Working / Worked
- Prednisone Working / Worked
Open Sjogren's Syndrome
Diagnosis secondary to lupus.
Treatments
- Salagen Working / Worked
- It worked, but discontinued use because I hate the side effects.
Open GERD & Heartburn
Reflux secondary to side effects from medication taken for lupus. Tested positive for Barrett's esophagus 11/08.
Treatments
- Prilosec Too Soon to Tell
- Used it in the past and started up again after testing positive for Barrett's.
Open Osteoporosis
I have mild osteopenia due to prolong use of corticosteroid drugs (over 18 years). I have been taking Fosamax for several years. However, this past November, I tested positive for Barrett's esophagus and can no longer take Fosamax. My rheumy and I are considering Boniva IV.
