Hi everyone,
Here's one of my few and far between journal entries. A week ago from yesterday, I experienced a bad exposure to toxic paint and sealant (my husband was doing the garage floor....I had taken precautions, but they didn't work). I have been very ill since, although today shows signs of some improvement. Most of you know I have multiple chemical sensitivities, which make living in our world very difficult. Right now I am stuck in my house, because when you've gotten a bad exposure, you have to heal a good bit before going out there and chancing even small exposures (someone's perfume, etc.) I'm quite weak, so unable to do what would seem smart, like clean closets. I'm going stir-crazy! I'd love hearing from any of you about anything you would care to write me about. I feel so unconnected from the world, and it's a horrible feeling. Also, I found out the on Sunday that they were putting in brand new carpeting in our church sanctuary on Monday (yesterday), and that's an automatic kick-out for me for at least six months. I am devastated about this....I feel like someone died. My church means a lot to me. Anyway, would love to hear from any of you.
Becky

Becky, so sorry to hear about your health. I have been highly allergic and chemically sensitive for years and my son (despite being breast fed) was born the same! Suffered all through childhood, better now but still battles a lot with special dietary needs, etc. I truly do understand that something like the church carpet can devestate you. Thinking of you.

SO SORRY about your situation! I know what it's like to be stir crazy.
(I'm epileptic, and when I have the little one home with me, we can't risk going out without another adult around because if I have a seizure, that'll leave my child without supervision or protection for anywhere from 10 seconds to 10 minutes- plenty of time for someone to grab her and take off. So we stay at home a LOT.)
Oh, gosh, I wish things weren't so hard for you. Are there other members of your church whom you can call and at least talk to on the phone, if not have them visit?
One thing you can do is not feel guilty for not cleaning or organizing. You'll do it when you can do it, and that's it. It's not like you have all this time and energy to redecorate or anything, so be easy on yourself, okaY?
Write back and let us know how it goes, 'cause we're thinking of you!
Hugs and chocolate kisses!
