Wow, hon! I read your page and am so sorry you are going through all of this... my goodness! I'm so glad you found Daily Strength. I have a feeling a lot of your head pressure might be lyme related, so could ease with treatment.... I've heard of that happening.... You have a lot on your plate.... good thing you're here... we'll help you carry it!

Close Hydrocephalus
I do not know for sure if I have hydrocephalus, but I definitely have some suspicion that I do. I am signing up for this group to talk with others who have it and see if there are similarities to what I have been experiencing since July 2008.
Treatments
- Acetazolamide Not Working
- It made me feel more sick, I lost a bunch of weight and I'm already small, and the head pressure did not change.
Close Arnold-Chiari Malformation
I was told that I may have Chiari Malformation by a Neurosurgeon. I have wondered off and on if I had some form of hydrocephalus. I have head pressure headaches since July 2008 and now my neck has a fullness also, I also have sleep apnea which started along with this.Since July 2008, I have had head fullness/pressure. Pressure behind my eyes, nose, and ears. In September, I started having a fullness under my jaw and in my neck along with all the other pressure.
Open Mononucleosis
In June 2008, after a vacation to the smokies, I began to feel horrible. I never even get a cold or the flu or anything. I had neck pain, joint pain, head pressure headache. I ended up in the hospital and they ran a bunch of tests and found that early June i had EBV. It is January now and I still feel horrible. I still have neck pain/fullness, headpressure/fullness, ear pressure, pressure behind my eyes, and nose and pressure in my back. I feel like crap every day. No other diagnosis so far.

I have slight obstructive sleep apnea since I have had mono (June 2008).

I was told that I may have chiari malformation, but I'm not sure. I am trying to see if I can compare my symptoms to others who have this illness.

Open Back Pain
after a viral infection June 2008, I had three lumbar punctures and ever since I have been experiencing chronic back pain, it's been 5-6 months now. Before the lumbar punctures I had no back pain.
Treatments
- Heat Somewhat Helpful
- helped while I laid down, not helpful while I am up and about and working.
- Hydrocodone Somewhat Helpful
- I don't like the feeling of being drugged.
- Naproxen Somewhat Helpful
- not strong enough.
Open Lyme Disease
For the past 7 months I have been trying to figure out what was wrong with me. I had gone to neurologists and infectious disease doctors, was hospitalized twice for serious head pressure headaches that made me feel like my head was about to explode and neck pain, eye pain/pressure. Last month 12/08, I went to see a LLMD and had a western blot test done, it came back positive for lyme. I also tested positive for EBV for early infection. So here I am.
Open Hypothyroidism
I have recently been diagnosed with hypothyroid after being diagnosed with lymes disease in January 2009

- Armour Thyroid Somewhat Helpful
- it relieved some of my symptoms in my neck but did not change my T3/T4 levels
