I went to the city today to babysit my grandson Daniel I had great aniexty about this since I would be returning to the home where I started all my problems with alcohol. As the hours went by and I was busy taking care of Daniel I went to the kitchen to prepare his lunch. I opened the refrigerator and moved many bottles of several kinds of alcoholic beverages around in order to get to the things that I needed. ( The reason they had these in here were because on Saturday Daniel turned 1 years of age and they had a big party for him) I went into the dining room to feed Danny and all of a sudden I realized what had just taken place. I looked and Danny and gave him a big hug , you see that my life was so complete and happy being clean & sober and to have the trust of my child to take care of my grandson. It did not bother me when I went in the refrigerator and got what I had to do and not once did that even cross my mind to drink. I thank my Lord and Savior for lifting the obession of alcohol and placing happiness in it's place. All evening I have been sitting here with a smile on my face ~ clear headed ~ Sober but most of all happier than I have ever been. Am I cured NO WAY ~ I will always be a sick person and have this addiction ~ As for me I will take it One day @ a time with my Lord.
Blessings to all of you as you face each day ~ We are strong together ~
Hugs ~ Roe ~

Sounds like you have a strong faith. I have turned to alcohol for comfort recently since my Mom,best friend, died. It is only a temporary fix though, booze is a depressant and just makes matters worse. You are an inspiration~God Bless,Katie
