About Me
I am 61, and I live in Corvallis, Oregon! My two adult children and I split expenses, and my daughter is my care giver! Both are divorced, and my granddaughter Sabrina lives with us, and my grandsons, Alex and Derek, visit to spent time with their Dad! I am a retired Housekeeper, and I worked for an agency , and we were sent out to work for the elderly! I have a scooter, and I love going for rides, when the weather permits! I have Emphysema, and Type 2 Diabetes!! I am living With my diseases, NOT dying of them!!

I play computer games, and Play Station 2 games, , I like to crochet, and do puzzles, and work crosswords, too! I love to color posters with my grandkids, and hang out with my son Sam, and my daughter Elizebeth!! And emailing my friends!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I did e-mail you at the address you gave, but it came back and said delivery failure, and it said: The reason for the problem: 5.1.2 - Bad destination host 'DNS Hard Error looking up yahoo.com! Don't understand that, but I'll try again tomorrow because I'm sure you gave me your correct address. Nighty night. I am tired and going to bed. Almost 11 (my time). XXX

I'm so sorry you had so much trouble. It would be scary not to be able to breathe better after I rested a while. Hope you're feeling MUCH better now. I'm ok...as long as I don't eat meat, I'm much better. I'm hoping I'll be all better eventually, but sometimes doubt that will happen. Never know though. Anyway, much better is good. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. XXX

Close COPD & Emphysema
I was diagnosed with Emphysema in '93! I smoked for 45 years, and I quit two years ago! I have been fighting this disease 14 years now, and it is not getting any easier! I use Advair, Albuterol, and prednisone! I take other meds as well, but not connected to my COPD! I also have type 2 Diabetes, and am on insulin! I try to exercise, but it is difficult! I get SOB, and even though I use PLB, it takes forever to recover, especially when panic sets in!

- 2 puffs at night, and 2 in the morning

- helps me recover fairly fast!

- didn't work that well! to hard to inhale

Am a new Diabetic, since august '08! I am on 19 units of Lantus, and it works perfect for me! I am still learning about food, and menus, etc
