I have a sarcastic (and I think funny) sense of humor. Always trying to pull myself/others up by the bootstraps. I love to laugh; however, it doesn't take much for me to wind up in the emotional crapper. Oh yeah, I'm very direct with my expressions. I've been in my current same-sex relationship for 8 years. We love each other, but there is a high degree of tension, and I tend to check-out mentally and emotionally. There is no physical aspect to my relationship, which adds to the tension.

Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionDepression tends to follow me like a shadow. I can't quite seem to dislodge it from myself. Always seeking true joy in life.
Treatments
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- Keeps me from being a crumpled crying mess, but I still have some work to do. Cymbalta is one of the few medications that has provided positive results for me.
Close Obesity
Lost and gained so much weight during my 40 years that I should be a poster child for recycling!I tend to poke fun at myself to keep from getting too down.
Treatments
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Somewhat Helpful
- I always give in to my cravings.
- Cycling Somewhat Helpful
- Is painful on my rear end.
- Meridia Not Working
- Did nothing to squelch my appetite.
- Overeaters Anonymous (OA) Not Working
- Tried it many years ago in my early 20's, but thought I could do it alone. I was wrong!
- Physical Exercise Working / Worked
- Feels great, then I get lazy or bored.
Open Healthy Relationships
Am in a same-se relationship for 8 years, but have lost any desire for sex.

- Couples Counseling Somewhat Helpful
- It takes conscious effort from BOTH sides!
- Talking Somewhat Helpful
- Usually ends up in a fight.
Open Female Sexual Issues
Hard to please sexually, Nothing feels all that great. I'd rather be napping.

- Estrogen Cream Not Working
- Any outside form of Estrogen puts my body through hell.
- Relaxation Considering
- I always want to go somewhere exotic, but I always have to face coming back.

I can't seem to stop eating at just a little bit. I have to gorge myself to feel satisfied.
