  Without a friend to call my own what would my poor heart do? Without a friend to cheer me up I'd remain so sad and blue. Without a friend to make me smile a frown would rule my face. Without a friend I'd be so lonely here in this human race. Without a friend I could not live because life I could not share. So friend I'm thankful that I have you and I'm glad you're always there.   I guess I have a fairly mild case compared to a lot of people I know with social anxiety. It has gotten to the point though that I now have to work from home to avoid panic attacks and I don't go out much with friends. It is difficult to explain yourself to people who don't understand. They think you can just "get over it".
