I have decided to turn my thoughts into a blog. If you are interested feel free to read, comment, and or share. I am 52 years old, and I live in Cajun Country-Lafayette La. I have been happily married for 22 years, have 3 grown children, 2 grandchildren, 3 dogs and a cat. I was diagnosed in Nov. 2008. I have some more medical problems, but they do not confuse me as much as N does

How are you? Did you have surgery? I hope you are getting a lot of TLC! I get my first round of mammoth blood work from the Endocrinologist in a few days. I've taken sick leave for the rest of the semester and can't wait for something to work to give me more than 3 hrs of sleep a nite as of late! Luv, Amy

Close Narcolepsy
Recently diagnosed with Narcolepsy, EDS, chronic insommina, and sleep disturbance disorder, which I have no idea what that is. I need friends to support me, understand me, and give advice. Update, I have found this site to be a valuable part of my life, the people here are the best.
Treatments
- Adderall Working / Worked
- Taking 25mgXR in am, and 15mg XR at noon
- Dexedrine Not Working
- Did not like the ups and downs
- Provigil Not Working
- I tried this med. for 7 days (GP gave me samples) I have severe miagrains which I have fought with most of my life already, severe backache, and my ulcers kicked up. My insurance denied the medication anyway so I guess it was a good thing it didn't work out for me.
- Xyrem Working / Worked
- Except for a few side effects, Xyrem is working great for sleeping, but haven't felt that refreshed feeling yet.
