Close Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 24, now 35. In the beginning, I was not really understanding it all and was put on Metformin and birth control. I had serious weight problems and stopped the meds. I have been to 3 OB/GYNs now and 2 endocronlogists since I am now married over 2 years and nothing. I just finished one cycle of clomid and day one of ovulation tests came back positive, I know this will not necessarily work but it at least gives me hope. Has anyone experienced this?
Treatments
- Clomid Too Soon to Tell
- I had some nasty side effects but not unbearable, high ups and downs, nausea, some eye blurrieness, irritability. I think most of the side effects possible. It has worked as far as my 1st ovualtion test was positive - lets see if I do get pregnant now.
- Metformin Too Soon to Tell
- I am on 750 mg of Metformin 2x a day as well as the clomid. I have noticed some mood swings but think it is from the clomid, but my cycle did come within 3 weeks of taking - not sure medicine or just me are responsible at this point. So far, I have not noticed any side effects.
