I am 47 years old and have 1 son and 2 stepdaughters. I was diagnosed with rcc in 2001 and had radical nephrectomy. Now in 2008 I have mrcc which is in my lungs, my remaining kidney and even in the surgical bed of the previous nephrectomy. My friend has been an awesome caretaker and does not let me dwell on my situation. I have just started taking Sutent and look forward to positive results.

Close Renal Cell Carcinoma (Kidney Cancer)
Right nephrectomy in 2001. MRCC in 2008. My lungs and lymph nodes are affected.
Treatments
- Nephrectomy Working / Worked
- It worked for 8 years. Now my remaining kidney is affected and it has metastesized to my lungs.
- Sutent Too Soon to Tell
- Have taken for two weeks now. Had to stop for a few days as my blood pressure went through the roof. The other symptoms are manageable and I hope to stay on this med because from all my reading it seems to be the best.
